Pengembangan Media Video Animasi Berbasis Project Based Learning pada Pembelajaran Keterampilan Menulis Cerpen Siswa Kelas XI
Abstract
A common problem in short story writing is the perception that short story writing is a complex activity and requires a number of skills that must be mastered by students, including imagination, word choice, plot development, and character creation. In addition, teachers' limited knowledge in using technology-based media causes learning to be limited in the use of appropriate learning media, resulting in less than optimal learning processes and resulting in students not achieving the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), which is 70. The situation is exacerbated by the missing short story material in the Independent Curriculum for the 2024/2025 academic year due to the policy of accelerating the completion of material targets, so that based on the data obtained, it shows that the average student ability is only 62.70%. This study aims to develop animated video media based on project-based learning in learning short story writing skills of grade XI students of SMK NU 1 Karanggeneng. The research method uses the ADDIE development model which is limited to the development stage, including needs analysis, design, validation, and product revision. The data collection instrument is in the form of a validation questionnaire given to media experts and material experts. The validation results show a score of 76.6% from media experts and 78.8% from material experts, with an overall average of 77.7% which is included in the valid category. Thus, animated video media based on project-based learning is declared suitable for use as a learning medium for short story writing, and has the potential to increase student motivation and understanding through more interactive and innovative presentation of material.
