PERSEPSI MAHASISWA TERHADAP PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING (PJBL) PADA MATA KULIAH PROGRAM LINIER

Abstract

This study aims to describe student perceptions of the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model in linear program courses with Transportation Method material. By using descriptive qualitative research, this study will also describe student perceptions of the application of PjBL in terms of 7 aspects of perception components. The research subjects consisted of 35 students of the Mathematics Education Study Program with data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews with 3 students who each had very good, good, and fairly good perceptions. The findings obtained that as many as 6 students have excellent perceptions, 28 students have good perception categories, and 1 student has a fairly good perception. Based on the 7 aspects of the perception component, it was concluded that the application of PjBL increased students' courage and confidence to interact with lecturers and actively participate in group discussions on project assignments. Assignments motivate them to look for additional references and develop communication skills. By working on projects, students understand the material on transportation methods in depth and application, while honing their creativity and critical thinking skills through data analysis and problem-solving discussions. This indicates the need for further guidance to optimize independent learning skills. Overall, PjBL contributes to improving the quality of learning outcomes and applicative knowledge that contribute significantly to academic development.
