PENGARUH LANGKAH-LANGKAH POLYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS IV SDN 3/4 MARGOYOSO
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Polya's steps on the mathematical problem solving ability of fourth grade students at SDN 3/4 Margoyoso, Kalinyamatan, Jepara, Central Java. In this study, the researcher collaborated with the fourth grade teacher of SDN 3/4 Margoyoso as an observer. This research was conducted using a quantitative method with a post test only control group design. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 3/4 Margoyoso, as many as 20 students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Sample determination was carried out using random sampling technique. The technique used in data collection is the test method. The data collection instrument used was a story problem test. The analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis, namely by calculating the average and using the T test (Independent Sample T-test). From the results of this study after conducting the Independent Samples T-Test the value Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.00 <0.05, which means that ????0 is accepted. Thus this study shows that Polya's steps have a major effect on student scores in improving mathematical problem solving skills in grade IV students of SDN 3/4 Margoyoso, Kalinyamatan, Jepara, Central Java.
