Due to its popularity, there are many scholarly views regarding the authenticity of this hadith. Although it is widely used as a motivational tool for learning, a closer examination of its chain of narrators shows that this hadith is classified as weak (dha’if). The hadith “Seek knowledge even as far as China” is well-known in Indonesia and carries the meaning of motivating individuals not to hesitate in seeking knowledge, even if it requires traveling far. It reflects a high spirit of pursuing knowledge and an appreciation for the quality of education, even if it means undertaking a long journey to a distant land. China, as one of the oldest civilizations in the world, has long been recognized as a center of knowledge and culture. Today, China also occupies an important position in the global education system.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>This study aims to examine the chain of narrators (sanad) of this hadith according to the perspectives of various scholars, and to assess whether it can still serve as a motivational guideline in the present day. Hadith scholars do not accept a narration unless it has a clear sanad. This approach was developed in response to the spread of false reports attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The research objectives are to analyze historical patterns of Islamic value-based edupreneurship development, identify implementation strategies, and evaluate program effectiveness on character formation and entrepreneurial competencies of elementary students. The study employs a mixed-methods approach with an embedded concurrent design. Research subjects include 240 students in grades 4-6, 24 teachers, and 12 principals from 12 Islamic elementary schools in Semarang, Surakarta, and Pekalongan selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments consist of entrepreneurial competency questionnaires, observation guides, and in-depth interview guides. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis and data triangulation techniques. Results indicate that Islamic value-based edupreneurship implementation in Central Java elementary schools has developed since the 2010s through curriculum integration, market day programs, and student cooperatives. Dominant Islamic values implemented include honesty (amanah), hard work (itqan), and responsibility (mas'uliyah). There were significant increases in student creativity (78.5%), independence (72.3%), and entrepreneurial awareness (65.8%). This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic religious practices as a coping strategy in maintaining the mental health of Muslim students of Generation Z. The research uses a qualitative approach with a dual case study method on three students of UIN Palangka Raya through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, nonparticipant observations, and documentation, with validity guaranteed through triangulation and member examination. The results show that religious practices play an important role in bringing mental calm, reducing anxiety and overthinking, and strengthening resilience to academic stress. Prayer is the main coping mechanism, dhikr and Qur'an recitation function as a spiritual relaxation technique, strengthened by social support from families and campus communities. Religious practices are effective because they provide a framework of existential meaning that helps students reinterpret academic stressors in a broader spiritual perspective, while also activating physiological relaxation responses. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings indicate that pesantren kilat was implemented through structured planning, active involvement of Islamic education teachers and university students as facilitators, and evaluations based on student participation. From the students’ perspective, the program fostered greater discipline in worship, deeper understanding of Islamic morals, and stronger social awareness. From the viewpoint of teachers and school leaders, pesantren kilat functioned as a bridge between classroom-based religious theory and real-life practice. These results demonstrate that pesantren kilat is not merely a ceremonial activity but an effective educational strategy for the internalization of religious values. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yang dibatasi pada tiga tahap, yaitu analisis, desain, dan pengembangan. Proses pengembangan meliputi persiapan materi, pembuatan ilustrasi, mengintegrasikan multimedia, serta merancang latihan dan evaluasi interaktif. Kelayakan e-modul dinilai oleh empat validator, yang terdiri dari dua ahli media dan dua ahli material. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa pakar media memberikan skor kelayakan 96,92% dengan kategori sangat layak, sedangkan ahli material memberikan skor 97,50% dengan kategori sangat layak. Nearly every aspect of social life is imbued with religious practices. However, a paradox arises when corruption rates remain high and national development often stalls. This paper examines the relationship between religion, corruption, and development. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, it was found that high levels of religiosity do not automatically equate to low levels of corruption. This is due to the weak internalization of religious values ​​in social life, the dominance of ritualistic understanding of religion, and the limited role of religious leaders in overseeing development. Using a descriptive qualitative method at YAPIM, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that PAI teachers act as educators, role models, moral guides, and motivators, including providing practical guidance on choosing and wearing comfortable and stylish hijabs, as well as serving as philanthropists. Despite facing obstacles such as hot weather, peer influence, and the absence of official school regulations, PAI teachers continue to drive the habituation of Islamic dress practices. In the modern era, children’s education faces multidimensional challenges arising from globalization, the rapid development of digital technology, and shifts in social and cultural values. This article aims to systematically examine the role of pesantren in children’s education in the modern era, with a particular focus on the integration of Islamic values, character formation, institutional challenges, and strategies for strengthening the role of pesantren. This study employs a qualitative approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, drawing on relevant scholarly sources, including journal articles, academic books, and policy documents. The findings indicate that pesantren function as value-based educational institutions that integrate religious education, formal education, and daily life guidance through a boarding school system. This educational model enables the consistent internalization of Islamic values and character development in children. Nevertheless, pesantren face significant challenges, including the rapid advancement of digital technology, changes in students’ characteristics, and increasing demands for educational quality improvement. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran PAI terdiri atas tiga tahapan utama, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru berupaya mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip pedagogis modern seperti kolaboratif, kontekstual, dan reflektif terhadap nilai-nilai, melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi yang disesuaikan dengan keragaman kemampuan siswa. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, terlihat adanya peningkatan dalam partisipasi aktif siswa, keberanian mengemukakan pendapat, serta kemampuan mengaitkan ajaran Islam dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. Adapun pada tahap evaluasi, guru menerapkan penilaian autentik yang meliputi tugas proyek, presentasi, serta penulisan jurnal reflektif, yang berfungsi menumbuhkan kemampuan analitis, evaluatif, dan moral siswa. Seventy-two male students from Sêmêl Preparatory School participated in this quasi-experimental design with partial control during the 2024-2025 academic year. The experimental group (n=37) received instruction usFbating the Perkins and Blythe model, while the control group (n=35) followed conventional teaching methods. The study covered three chapters from the Grade 11 Philosophy textbook: Introduction to Philosophy, Logic and Critical Thinking, and Ethics and Moral Philosophy. A 30-item concept acquisition test measuring definition, discrimination, and application levels was administered as pre-test and post-test. Independent samples t-test revealed statistically significant differences (p&lt;0.05) favoring the experimental group in post-test comparison (t=7.528). Paired samples t-test showed significant improvement within the experimental group between pre-test and post-test (t=19.842). The experimental group demonstrated superior performance across all three concept acquisition levels. These findings suggest that the Perkins and Blythe framework promotes deeper understanding of philosophical concepts compared to traditional methods, supporting its integration into philosophy curricula and warranting professional development programs for secondary teachers.</p> Ismael Ibrahim Ahmed ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-01-29 2026-01-29 9 1 119 145 10.52166/talim.v9i1.12283 EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI BERBASIS ANDROID SEBAGAI SARANA BELAJAR SHALAT UNTUK MUALAF https://e-jurnal.unisda.ac.id/index.php/talim/article/view/12039 <p><strong><em>Abstract&nbsp;</em></strong></p> <p><em>This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Android-based applications as a learning medium for prayer (shalat) among converts (mualaf) at the Mualaf Center Community of Medan Region. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design involving 20 converts selected through purposive sampling, supported by participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the use of Android-based applications significantly improves participants’ understanding of prayer pillars, movements, and recitations, with an average improvement rate of 92%. Visual, audio, and Latin transliteration features facilitate learning for converts with limited Arabic literacy, while also enhancing learning autonomy and consistency in performing prayers. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of the application is driven by flexible access, user-friendly features, and opportunities for repetitive self-directed learning. It can be concluded that Android-based prayer learning applications are effective as alternative and complementary learning media for converts, contributing positively to the quality of religious practice and strengthening technology-based Islamic education.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Keyword: </em></strong><em>Android Application, Prayer Learning, Converts, Islamic Education</em></p> <p><strong>Abstrak&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi berbasis Android sebagai sarana belajar shalat bagi mualaf di Komunitas Mualaf Center Regional Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan 20 orang mualaf yang dipilih secara <em>purposive</em>, serta didukung oleh data observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi berbasis Android mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mualaf terhadap rukun, gerakan, dan bacaan shalat secara signifikan, dengan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman mencapai 92%. Media visual, audio, dan teks latin dalam aplikasi membantu mualaf yang belum lancar membaca huruf Arab serta mendorong kemandirian belajar dan konsistensi pelaksanaan shalat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas aplikasi disebabkan oleh fleksibilitas akses, kemudahan penggunaan, dan kemampuan belajar berulang secara mandiri.
