PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN DENGAN METODE INDUKTIF PADA POKOK BAHASAN OPERASI HITUNG BILANGAN BERPANGKAT DI KELAS X-1 SMA SUNAN DRAJAT SUGIO LAMONGANTAHUN PELAJARAN 2012/2013

Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes so far was still far from what we have expected, one cause of it was due to the use of teaching methods that were monotonous, mainly focusing on the lecture method. The inductive method is one of the alternative for non-monotonous learning. The purpose of this study was to obtain the findings about the effectiveness of mathematics achievement regarding the instruction through the inductive method. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The design used was pretest and posttest. Subjects in this study were students of class X-1 SMA Sunan Drajat Sugio Lamongan in the academic year of 2012/2013 with 18 male students and 19 female students. The findings of this study indicate that there was an increased activity of students during the learning, the previous meetings passive students who achieve 20% down to 4%. Likewise, the study results showed a significant improvement after being taught using an inductive method. It was seen from the average (mean) of student learning outcomes, at first, 37 students was not completed, then 35 students who completed based on the KKM of the Senior High School of Sunan Drajat Sugio. In tune with the increased activity and student learning outcomes, student response had reached 87.67% fun and easy to learn with the inductive method. Therefore, the application of learning by inductive method was very effective (in terms of student activities, teacher activity, student learning outcomes and student response).
