PENERAPAN QUANTUM TEACHING AND LEARNING DENGAN METODE MIND MAPPING PADA MATERI BENTUK PANGKAT DI KELAS X SMAN 1 KEDUNGPRING LAMONGAN

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the application of Quantum Teaching and Learning by the method of Mind Mapping in the material form of the rank in terms of (1) Student activities, (2) Teacher activities, (3) Student Response, and (4) the learning completeness. For the subjects in this study were students of SMAN 1 Kedungpring in the forth ten grade in Lamongan in the academic year 2012/2013. The data collection techniques used were observations, questionnaires and tests. Observation methods used to determine the activities of students and teachers during the learning process. The questionnaire method used to determine the students' response to learning that has been done. While the test is used to determine the level of student learning in the classical completeness. Based on the survey results revealed that Quantum Teaching and Learning with Mind Mapping method was very effective at a rate to be applied to the material form of the rank in terms of: (1) the activity of students with the percentage of positive activity of students of 97.36%; and (2) the activity of the teacher with the percentage of positive activity teacher at 97.22%. Meanwhile, if the review of: (3) the students' responses, and (4) the learning completness of student, Quantum Teaching and Learning methods Mind Mapping was the effective rate to be applied to the material form of the ranks with the percentage of positive responses of students by 90% and completeness of classical study of 90%. Given the results, it could be taken into consideration by all educators to try to implement Quantum Teaching and Learning with Mind Mapping method in learning activities
