Abstract

Electrical energy needs are increasing along with population growth, industrial upgrading, economic improvement and people's lifestyles. On the other hand, the availability of fossil energy and national energy reserves is decreasing, while the increase in national electrification ratio is needed to meet the energy self-sufficiency of 2030. Therefore the need for new alternative energy-based renewable energy (EBT), green technology innovation, and community empowerment (Community Development).Pico Hydro Power Plant (PLTPH) as one of hydropower has not been utilized optimally, especially power plant with high potential or very low Head (H) by using turbine poncelet water wheel turbine. This research is focused to plan the turbine wind turbine Poncelet Water Wheel on the irrigation channel. Based on the results of the topographic survey, the debit survey, the technical specification design of the turbine wheel is the diameter of the mill wheel (D) of 3 m, the water velocity (V) 5.4 m2 / s, the number of 28 turbine blades (n) 28, b) ie 0.6 m, height of the blade (y) 0.35 m, angle to the center of the mill (Θ) 00-12.80, the radius of the mill (R). 1.5 h, the axial distance to the surface of the blade (h) 1.15 m, the diagonal distance of the shaft to the water surface (ax) 1,025 m, the high blade that is immersed into the water (x) 0.47 meters, the width of the blade is immersed into the water (ax) 0.28 m2, the rotation time of the blade surrounds 360 ° (t) 5.27 seconds, the velocity of the velocity (Vb) 1.79 m / s, the directional velocity with the center of the blade 5.4 m / s and the relative accretion of (Vr) is 3.6 m / s.
