Abstract

Self efficacy is an important aspect in the formation of students' character, and in an Islamic perspective this concept is not only understood as a cognitive belief, but is also closely related to the spiritual dimension. This study aims to examine the integration of the value of self efficacy with the teachings of the Qur'an and hadith, especially related to the principles of effort, earnestness, tawakal, and optimism. The method used is a literature study that examines modern psychological sources and Islamic literature, including the interpretation of QS. Al-Baqarah: 286 and hadiths that emphasize the importance of effort and dependence on Allah. The results of the study show that Islamic teachings provide a theological basis that each individual has an optimized capacity, as well as needs spiritual strength to face challenges. In conclusion, self efficacy in Islam is a combination of self confidence, maximum effort, and spiritual steadfastness that simultaneously contributes to the formation of character, resilience, and positive attitudes of students.
