BIM FOR THE FUTURE OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS: DOCUMENTATION AND MODELLING METHODS IN INDONESIA

Abstract

Perkembangan kota yang pesat sering kali mengancam kelestarian bangunan bersejarah, terutama yang belum memiliki dokumentasi yang memadai. Tanpa dokumentasi arsitektur yang akurat, informasi tentang bentuk, struktur, dan elemen arsitektural dapat hilang, menghambat upaya konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metode dokumentasi dan pemodelan digital yang diterapkan pada bangunan bersejarah di Indonesia serta mengevaluasi kelebihan, keterbatasan, dan prospek teknologi tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber akademik terkait Building Information Modeling (BIM), fotogrametri, pemindaian laser (LiDAR), dan teknologi digital lainnya. Analisis dilakukan terhadap efektivitas, tantangan implementasi, serta potensi pengembangan ke depan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode digital seperti BIM dan LiDAR memberikan akurasi tinggi dalam dokumentasi dan pemodelan bangunan bersejarah. Namun, tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan tenaga ahli, biaya investasi tinggi, serta kurangnya standar regulasi nasional dalam digitalisasi cagar budaya. Kesimpulannya, meskipun teknologi digital berpotensi meningkatkan efektivitas pelestarian bangunan bersejarah, diperlukan strategi holistik yang mencakup regulasi, edukasi, serta dukungan kebijakan pemerintah untuk memastikan keberlanjutan digitalisasi warisan budaya di Indonesia.
