Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas Beauveria bassiana dalam mengendalikan larva Spodoptera frugiperda. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Maret hingga Juni 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat perlakuan, yaitu suspensi Beauveria bassiana 107, 109, dan 1011  konidia mL-1 serta kontrol, dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) nonfaktorial. Setiap perlakuan diulang lima kali, menghasilkan dua puluh unit percobaan. Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini yaitu masa inkubasi jamur Beauveria bassiana, Perkembangan Beauveria bassiana pada jaringan internal Spodoptera frugiperda, mortalitas larva Spodoptera frugiperda dan Aktivitas Makan larva Spodoptera frugiperda. Data penelitian akan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis of Varian (ANOVA), diikuti oleh Uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aplikasi Beauveria bassiana pada seluruh perlakuan berpengaruh nyata dalam mempercepat masa inkubasi terhadap larva Spodoptera frugiperda dibandingkan kontrol, dengan perlakuan 109  konidia mL-1 dan 1011  konidia mL-1 menunjukan waktu yang singkat dibandingkan 107  konidia mL-1. Infeksi Beauveria bassiana pada larva Spodoptera frugiperda bersifat progresif, ditandai dengan tidak terdeteksinya struktur jamur pada 1–4 HSA dan munculnya perubahan jaringan internal pada 5 HSA. Mortalitas larva Spodoptera frugiperda akibat aplikasi Beauveria bassiana mulai terjadi pada 4 HSA, mencapai puncak pada 7 HSA terutama pada perlakuan 109  konidia mL-1, kemudian menurun setelah 8 HSA. Aplikasi Beauveria bassiana pada seluruh perlakuan 107  konidia mL-1, 109  konidia mL-1 dan 1011  konidia mL-1 secara nyata menurunkan aktivitas makan larva Spodoptera frugiperda dibandingkan kontrol.
