KLASIFIKASI KAMUS BAHASA ARAB DALAM KONTEKS PEMBELAJARAN: STUDI LITERATUR TENTANG JENIS, FUNGSI, DAN PERKEMBANGANNYA
Abstract
This study aims to explore in depth the classification of Arabic dictionaries based on their types, functions, and development from classical to modern times. Dictionaries are essential resources in Arabic language learning and linguistic studies, with various forms and compilation approaches. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing scholarly references such as journals, books, and academic literature that discuss the classification and characteristics of Arabic dictionaries. Data were obtained through the exploration of relevant literature and analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify themes, patterns, and trends in dictionary classification. The findings reveal that Arabic dictionaries can be classified based on content (general and specialized), compilation method (root-based or alphabetical), and function (explanatory, etymological, encyclopedic, and thematic). Furthermore, technological advancements have led to the emergence of digital dictionaries that are more practical and interactive. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of Arabic lexicography studies and their application in Arabic language teaching and research.
