Abstract

Research was triggered that cooperation and competition as well as the merger study groups could be applied to learning process in the form of competition groups, also competition in the individual motivation and attention and support learning students. Research is done with a view to describe the influence of active learning with strategy tournament learn on the subjects of heat engine and a change of form of the substance to study result of the student. This research uses experimental methods research is true experimental designs. The population of this research is all the students are seven class, a class of x taken a class of control ( X-5 ) a class of experiment ( X-7, and X-6 and X-4 ) that berdistribusi normal and homogeny as a sample of research with the given pre-test. The result obtained then post-tes analyzed by uji-t. The result obtained uji-t two parties -ttabel<t<ttabel indicates the presence of the difference between a class of control by a class of experiments. The result obtained uji-t the right thitung≥ttabel (α = 0,05)  indicates that study result of the students on class experiment better than a class of control. The conclusion that active learning with strategy tournament learn can improve learning outcomes students class X SMA Negeri 3 Lamongan.
