Abstract

Cigarette smoke contains harmful organic substances in the form of particles and gases. CO gas is one of the pollutant gas from cigarette smoke. This gas binds Hb. The objective of the study was to determine the level of CO and dust indoors for 8 hours. The experiments were carried out in an enclosed space measuring 2.1 m x 3.23 m x 2.63 m without ventilation. The tool used is hygrometer, high volume sampler and CO monitor. The results showed that indoor CO content per 30 minutes was 55 ppm and average indoor dust rate per hour was 2553,065 μg / m3. When compared to ambient air quality standard the figure exceeds the quality standard.
