PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMAHAMI MAKHLUK HIDUP PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA DENGAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF MODEL TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT

Abstract

The research was aimed to (1) achieve the description about the process of implementing the cooperative model TGT, and (2) achieve the description about the result of implementing the cooperative model TGT on the basic competence of creature. The research was designed in the classroom action research which the data collection using test, observation, interview, and field note. The research was done to the third graders of the second state of elementary school at Turi – Lamongan on eleventh and ninetenth of february 2013. The research result showed that the students’ achievement on science lesson improved after implementing the cooperative model TGT. The score average of the students’ test before implementing cooperative model TGT only in 58.62 with the highest score was 75, only 12 students who got score up to 60, while 3 students  under 60. After implementing cooperative model TGT in cycle 1, the students’ achievement improved by looking at the improve of the students’ average score to be 73.06 with the highest score in 87.5, the lowest score in 62.5 for 3 students.
